I've loved being creative as long as I can remember.
This 2020 beginning marks (I believe) 13 years as a wedding photographer, which is a job I started in college and never stopped.
Along the way, I kept wanting to pursue more ways to be creative, and to make life beautiful, which led to pursuing fashion photography, and more intentional traveling for faraway shoots, which led to packing suitcases a lot, which led to wishing there were more of the kinds of dresses I wanted to take with me.
Which led to the last 5 years and starting a clothing company Virginia Dare Dress Co., alongside my photography business.
It's led to countless hours of learning, designing, overseeing manufacturing, and trying to keep that sense of adventure alive as I started something new.
It also led to now helping support photographers in their craft, teaching workshops around the US, and mentoring small business owners through the startup and community-building phases of their project.
I've been a photographer long enough to know that the best way to pour into my work is to pursue the many things I'm passionate about. Creativity and building relationships

And finally, my love of travel has given years of favorite images.
Travel snapshots from England, Iceland, and elsewhere were curated on the printshop The Weekend Type, and are available as art prints.!
